It points out that it is not the role of the ISPs to police the Internet and that it is not even possible for them to monitor every fragment of data that passes through their networks. Stressing on its inability to monitor, the ISPA added that the suggestion was similar to asking the Post Office to open and check every envelope that passed through them.

Can you remember the time when laptops for gaming were not so widespread? Even though they were not amazing sellers they did have big mark ups. They were the type of laptop computer everybody craved but the one they just couldn’t purchase. Obviously being so hi-tech they were the best laptop computers in relation to power. Having said that most of us most likely didn’t buy laptop computers of this variety because of the price. The global players have lately started taking advantage of enormous opportunities in gaming notebooks, so that is all changing.

I think they would categorise it as a premium item and make a lot of money on these particularly with their mass production facilities. Markup has been so small as of late that this is a good opportunity to get more cash on selling hardware. I’m pretty sure that most of us would buy laptop computers if marketed to everybody by these big brands. In my point of view this would possibly hurt local retailers if they don’t separate their usp. Clearly what I see happening here is that the larger brands reducing prices initially to remove the competition from littler retailers. I guess the clueless automatically feel safe by purchasing from a company they are familiar with.

In my view these manufacturers are rolling out the best laptop computers at this minute. This is a prime opportunity the local competitors need to employ to their benefit. I bet people that buy these types of laptop computers prefer to be able to customise their notebook. Consumers that buy high spec laptops will usually see past the gimmicks. For consumers of this type, the speed usually is more important than what it looks like.

As a possible consumer myself this is in fact all a good situation for me. When it comes down to it the cost will decline more and more customers would be able to afford such new technology. Who is to predict what will take place. I’m really not that sure. New laptops are always being introduced and that should keep prices relatively high. It’s hard to know what will happen now that the established brands have gotten involved in creating laptops for gaming.

Scope out http://www.rizeon.com/gaming_laptops/page.php as they are providing some extremely high performance laptops for the prices.

How many times did you hear your colleague remind you to back up those files? Many times already! But did you listen? No. A thing such as data loss can never happen to you. Not with your brand new, shiny pc.

But apparently you were wrong. The worse has happened and you didn’t expect it. You lost all your data.

Luckily, businesses have realized the importance of data for a lot of people. They have become aware of that the number of people who are lazy or just ignorant to back up their files have increased and they treated this as a business opportunity. That is why the number of data recovery service companies has increased over the years, making it a multi-million dollar industry.

So if you are one of those people who have lost their important data, don’t be sad. It is not the end of the world. There is still hope through the help of data recovery service.

In case of data loss, don’t panic and immediately shut your system down.

You may think that you can salvage your lost files through buying a utility or software. If you have no idea what you are doing, you may worsen the situation and you might not be able to retrieve your files again. Do it yourself recovery is for fixing minor data loss problems and should be done carefully. In case you think your hard disk has suffered severe damage, stop your DIY data recovery and contact a data recovery service right away. Tell them the details on how you loss your data and what actions you did after. The data recovery company will then evaluate your hard drive and suggest possible solutions that they can do to retrieve your data.

Data recovery service includes rescuing of lost data from hard drives (and other media including DVD, RAID, backup tapes, disk arrays, floppies, CD-ROM, iPods and other MP3 players, digital camera media and removable cartridges) that is caused by hard drive failure/crash, corruption, human error, viruses, damage from power surges, blue screen of death, deleted partitions, disk reformatting, flood, smoke, fire or other natural disasters.

The process of recovering your data is done by engineers who are expert in operating systems and storage media so you are assured that your hard drive and data are handled properly.

Data recovery can last between 2 days to more than a week, depending on how much damaged has been made.

If you need your data to be recovered fast, certain data recovery service companies can do this but most of the time there is an additional cost or a different package depending on how fast they can give you back your files.

Some data recovery service can travel all the way to your location and perform their services, but of course this means a higher service fee.

Most data recovery services also protect and value your privacy so you are assured that once your data is retrieved it will be safe and will remain confidential. Some will even keep your files for up 10 or 15 days in case you experience problem again within the recovery period. When this happens, they still have your data and you won’t have to go through the process of recovering it all over again.

Also a good number data recovery service offers a “no data – no payment policy”, in which they won’t charge you a single penny if the data recovery is not successful. Evaluation is also free and usually takes 24 to 48 hours.

It is very important to educate your small business prospects and clients on key small business networking terms and buzzwords. After all, in order to “win them over,” you need to be speaking the same language. In fact, you may even want to prepare a “cheat sheet”, based on the below definitions, to help you in your prospect and client pre-sales activities.

If you’d like to order a license to reproduce these networking terms for client sales literature, please contact questions@ComputerConsulting101.com and put “Licensing Your LAN Buzzwords” in the subject line.

•	802.11a – wireless Ethernet standard that allows for data networking transmission at up to 54Mbps; operates in the 5-6Ghz range.

•	802.11b – most mature of the widely available wireless Ethernet standards that allows for data networking transmission at up to 11Mbps; ; also commonly referred to as a “WiFi”; operates in the 2.4Ghz range

•	802.11g – newest in-progress wireless Ethernet standard that promises to allow for data networking transmission at up to 54Mbps, operates in the same 2.4Ghz range as 802.11b-based Wireless Ethernet networks.

•	CAT5 (Category 5 Cable) – copper, unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cabling that can support voice and data communications at speeds up to 100Mbps and 1000Mbps for Ethernet networking.

•	Client/Server Network – a network in which a dedicated server is used to share resources.

•	Ethernet Network Adapter – due to the market dominance of Ethernet networks, an Ethernet network adapter has become largely synonymous with the more general term network adapter or network interface card.

•	IDE (integrated drive electronics) is a more mainstream, lower-cost interface (than SCSI) for connecting internal peripherals — generally hard drives, CD-ROM drives and tape backup drives.

•	LAN (Local Area Network) – set of computer systems and peripheral devices connected for sharing resources and providing near instantaneous communications; today’s small business LANs are typically physically connected using Ethernet network adapters and Category 5 cabling; when extended to one or more additional geographic locations, can become a metropolitan area network (MAN) or wide area network (WAN).

•	Network Integrator – a computer services business that designs, installs and maintains heterogeneous computer systems and software; many computer consultants are also network integrators (and vice versa).

Laptop computers have more than likely been on the top of everybodies must have list lately. So enormous demand but low supply according to what manufacturers are forcasting. It looks like once there are backlogs those will only increment because demand for laptops is not dropping at all. Whatever you do you’re playing with technology that is advancing all the time so its difficult to keep up with the latest trends.

I’ve seen a lot of gaming laptops being introduced recently. These days you get tons of value because the next best thing is always around the corner. I think laptops are a sound option for gaming on. Maybe not exactly for the extreme but they’re excellent for the large number of us. I think what’s very incredible is how thin the chassis’s are and how cool the systems run. Gaming performance between laptops and desktops should always favour desktops though, plainly because desktops are always going to be considerably bigger and more powerful. It looks as if everybody is obsessed with making thinner, lighter laptops and I’m sure we will see gaming laptops like that in the near future.

I think we’re seeing greater numbers of start up companies exclusively selling custom built laptops. I’m partial to the concept that high quality brands go into some custom laptops. In my mind being able to choose the processor, memory and storage is ideally catered for the more hardcore users out there. Pre-configured laptops are made for people who have common needs and that may not be you right? Custom laptops allow a solution to this. Advanced levels of customer service and support can also be discovered when getting custom built laptops. To me this is a large plus.

It certainly will intriguing to see what gets introduced next. Tiny internet laptops are the new product to get mass market appeal. They have their own sector in the portable computer market in such a short space of time. People want laptops that are weightless but additionally big enough to be functional and easy to use. Manufacturers must be engaged on an answer to this as we speak. Consumer trends imply that gaming laptops will get increasingly mobile in the next couple of years. New notebook computers are seen every year and I’m sure the next few months already contains a lot of promise for us techies.
